Enjoy great ice fishing from your cabin porch. Fishing hot spots can be found in other areas of the lake also. Big Wood Lake is known for consistent trout and salmon action throughout the winter - January being the most productive. Several other lakes in the area are open for ice fishing also. Night fishing for cusk can reward you with fish weighing more than 10 lbs. Fresh live bait and heated ice shacks are available.
